Adidas Originals “City Marathon“ Footwear Display

For the release of the Adidas Originals Marathon City collection we were asked to create an in-store display that should clearly distinguish the product from the other shoes. The theme of “Marathon, Running …” should not matter, the focus was set primarily on the idea of “fashion”/highlight.

We designed a display of 5 cm thick acrylic glass with polished edges and mirror finish. The logo of the collection was placed on the upper surface of the display on which shoes were presented; and also on the four side edges to communicate the respective model (New York, Chicago, Berlin). The highly polished cut of the edges reflects the branding of the upper side (logo) in a special way on the side edges of the display, making it visible even while the shoes stand on it. Independently, the side label of each model can be read easily – no matter from which angle you look at the screen – and always stands above the logo that is distortedly reflected through the edge.
